LAHJ, Oct. 25 (YPA) – A Saudi airstrike on Sunday targeted military reinforcements belonging to the Saudi-backed Dera al-Watan forces in Al-Mudharaba district, west of Lahj province, after they arrived from Aden city, south of Yemen.
Saudi-aligned media sources reported that Saudi aircraft carried out the strike against the reinforcements, killing and wounding several personnel and destroying several military vehicles. The incident was described as a case of friendly fire.
The sources added that the airstrike caused confusion within the Dera al-Watan forces ranks, facilitating the advance of Sanaa forces toward Al-Shatein, the center of Al-Mudharaba and Ras Al-Ara districts, after they took control of and secured Wadi Al-Nabiq following fierce armed clashes.
