Iran vows harsh response against U.S. and Israeli enemy, warns against movements in northern Iraq
TEHRAN, March 07 (YPA) – Spokesman for the Iranian Armed Forces, Abolfazl Shekarchi, stated on Friday that U.S. ambulance helicopters were still evacuating bodies and wounded personnel from locations struck by Iranian missiles and drones, particularly in Bahrain.
He said Washington was experiencing growing frustration due to what he described as Iran’s “precise operations.”
In a statement, Shekarchi added that the Iranian Armed Forces intended to carry out the recommendations of their “martyred commander,” asserting that Iran’s actions would make the United States “think twice about launching attacks anywhere in the world.”
The Iranian spokesman emphasized that the attacks would not be limited to U.S. targets and that there would be no restrictions on striking the “Zionist entity.” He added that Iran would employ its most advanced weapons against its adversaries.
Shekarchi also claimed that U.S. forces had used weapons previously reserved for a potential “third world war” in their operations against Iran.
He warned against any military activity in northern Iraq, stating that opening corridors for armed groups would expose regional infrastructure and capabilities to Iranian strikes. Shekarchi added that regional leaders would be responsible for preventing such groups if they wish to maintain stability and authority.
Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, he said Iran has not closed the waterway and does not intend to do so. However, Shekarchi warned that ships linked to the United States or Israel could be targeted if Iranian interests were threatened. He also cautioned regional countries that hosting American bases could bring insecurity rather than protection.
He concluded that these statements serve as a clear warning to anyone seeking to test Iran’s defensive or offensive capabilities, stressing that the Iranian Armed Forces are prepared to use all available means to deter threats and protect Iran’s national security.
