Sanaa: GCC statement aligns with “US, Israeli” narratives
SANAA, March 06 (YPA) – The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, criticized on Friday the recent statement issued in the name of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), describing it as an incorrect characterization of events that harmonizes with the “US and Israeli narratives.”
Abu Ras explained that the statement failed to mention the “blatant aggression” launched by the Americans—who “came from the far ends of the earth”—against a Muslim people.
He emphasized that the targets struck by the “Muslim Iranian Army” were American and Israeli bases and interests, serving as a “legitimate response” to those aggressions.
Abu Ras stated that the scale of targeting US bases proves some regional regimes have turned their countries into “American-Zionist bases,” warning that defending them is “disgraceful and terrifying” for the future of those states.
He noted that this round of attacks by “criminal Zionist regimes” (US and Israeli) is a continuation of previous crimes committed in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, Yemen, and Iraq.
Abu Ras urged the concerned regimes to reconsider their current positioning in favor of their peoples and the causes of their nation, warning that remaining in the camp of the “enemies of the nation” will ultimately lead them to the same fate.
The of Foreign Affairs concluded by reaffirming the full solidarity of the Republic of Yemen with the Islamic Republic and the brotherly Iranian people in confronting the aggression targeting its sovereignty and security.
