IRGC hits American oil tanker in Gulf waters

TEHRAN, March 05 (YPA) -Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Thursday that its naval forces had struck a US oil tanker with a missile in the northern Gulf waters, claiming the vessel was “now burning.”

According to Iranian media sources, The IRGC said it had previously warned that according to international law and regulations, during wartime, the navigation rights through the Strait of Hormuz will be under the control of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

It added that everyone must comply with those regulations, reiterating that military and commercial vessels belonging to the United States, the Zionist regime, European countries, and their supporters will not be allowed to transit through Hormuz Strait.

The IRGC warned that any US, Israeli or European vessel detected in the Hormuz Strait will certainly be struck.

Meanwhile, the Iranian army said in a statement that its Navy carried out drone strikes targeting Israel’s Ramat David Airbase.

The army said Arash drones were used in the attack and targeted the fuel storage facilities at the airbase.
