BEIRUT, March 05 (YPA) -Israeli bombardment of Lebanon continued for a third consecutive day as Israeli occupation forces reportedly tried to launch ground incursions in the country’s south.
In a statement, Hezbollah said: “After the heroic clashes by the fighters of the Islamic Resistance with Israeli enemy forces in the town of Khiam, the enemy was forced to withdraw the remaining vehicles and soldiers to Tal al-Hamamis.”
Late Wednesday and early Thursday, Israeli forces intensified airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs after issuing a series of evacuation warnings.
At the same time, the Israeli military expanded its strikes across Lebanese territory.
In early Thursday, a residential apartment in the Beddawi refugee camp in the northern city of Tripoli was targeted, leaving two people dead.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah said it carried out 23 attacks on Israeli military positions on Wednesday.
