Guterres calls for accountability for killers of young Abu Siam east of Jerusalem

NEW YORK, Feb. 21 (YPA) – UN Secretary-General António Guterres condemned the killing of Palestinian youth Nasrallah Abu Siam by extremist settlers in the village of Mikhmas, east of occupied Jerusalem, and called for a swift investigation.

Guterres called for a swift, thorough, and transparent investigation into the circumstances of this incident and for those responsible to be held accountable, and he urged the occupying power to take concrete steps to stop and prevent all acts of settler violence against the Palestinian people.

Extremist settlers continue to commit crimes against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, with the aim of disrupting their lives, expelling them from their properties, and seizing them.
