Hezbollah: Lebanese blood is not cheap commodity, authorities must act quickly

BEIRUT, Feb. 21 (YPA) – Hezbollah, the Lebanese party, affirmed, on Saturday, in response to the massacres perpetrated by the enemy in the villages and towns of Bekaa Valley, that condemnations and denunciations are no longer effective, whereas the blood of the Lebanese is not a cheap commodity, and the authorities must adopt a radical change in their approach to defend the homeland.

The party said that what happened in Bekaa and what happens every night in southern Lebanon cannot be treated as normal or ordinary.

In a message addressed to the Lebanese authorities responsible for the security and safety of the people, the sovereignty of the nation, and the protection of its borders, Hezbollah stated that it will not accept the authorities acting as political analysts, saying that these are Israeli strikes that we have become accustomed to before every meeting of the mechanism. “The least they can do is freeze the meetings of this committee until the enemy stops its attacks.”

Hezbollah stressed the necessity for the authorities to act swiftly and effectively, and for the government and the entire state to seriously assume their responsibilities, abandoning the policy of submission and surrender, which only emboldens the criminal enemy to threaten Lebanon’s security.

Hezbollah also stated that further political maneuvering without strength is a mere waste of time, lives, and losses in this country.

It should be noted that the Israeli occupation committed massacres last night in Bekaa Valley and Ain al-Hilweh camp in Sidon, resulting in the deaths of 10 citizens and injuries to 25 others.
