GAZA, Feb. 19 (YPA) – The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) confirmed on Thursday that humanitarian conditions across the Gaza Strip remain dire, amid restrictions on the delivery of aid.
In a statement, UNRWA said it continues to operate, providing displaced people with essential healthcare, education, shelter, food assistance and protection services through a unique network and footprint. However, the scale of needs exceeds what we are currently allowed to do.
The agency stressed that restrictions must be lifted.
Residents of Gaza continue to face severe humanitarian and living conditions due to the ongoing impact of the Israeli war, continued limitations on aid access, and rising unemployment rates.
