Ongoing Israeli violations: Airstrikes and Artillery shelling strike Gaza Strip

GAZA, Feb. 19 (YPA) -The Israeli occupation army continued its violations of the ceasefire on its 132nd day across various areas of the Gaza Strip.

Early Thursday morning, Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on eastern Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.

Israeli warplanes also struck Rafah simultaneously with artillery shelling targeting residential areas in the southern Gaza Strip.

Israeli tanks opened fire east of Al-Bureij Refugee Camp in central Gaza.

In Gaza City, an Israeli aircraft bombed the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in the eastern part of the city.

On the humanitarian side, Palestinian sources, citing medical officials at Nasser Medical Complex, said that three Palestinian civilians were killed by Israeli gunfire on Wednesday.

The shooting took place near the so-called “Yellow Line” area in Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis. The incident highlights the growing risks for civilians in border areas.

Meanwhile, the occupation army bulldozers and engineering units continued demolishing homes, public facilities, and infrastructure.

The destruction is focused on residential areas under Israeli military control in different parts of the Gaza Strip. This has further increased the overall level of damage across the enclave.

Since the ceasefire on October 11, the total number of martyrs has reached 603, in addition to 1,618 injured, with 726 bodies recovered.

Since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, 2023, the total number of martyrs has reached 72,063, with 171,726 injured, according the Palestinian ministry of health in Gaza.
