Official in Ansarallah deciphers secret behind return of STC leaders to Saudi fold
SANAA, Feb. 17 (YPA) – Mohammed al-Fareh, a member of the Ansarallah Political Bureau in Sanaa, launched a scathing attack on the leaders of the (dissolved) UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) who have chosen to return to the “Saudi fold.”
Al-Fareh asserted that this move exposes the “falsehood of the slogans” championed for years under the guises of “Southern grievances” or “liberation projects.”
Writing on the “X” platform, al-Fareh emphasized that the shift in rhetoric from “blood and identity” to demands for “salaries and sponsorship” reflects a trade-off of principles for financial interests at the first available offer. He described the scene as the “management of interests rather than the upholding of principles.”
Al-Fareh concluded by stating that a cause bartered for a “passport” or a monthly wage cannot be considered a genuine cause, labeling it instead as “temporary banners in the market of loyalties.”
He underscored that the true tragedy lies in the exploitation of the Southern provinces’ public sentiment over the past years.
