Dar Al-Ifta declares first day of Ramadan to begin on Wednesday in Yemen

SANAA, Feb. 17 (YPA) – Yemen’s Dar al-Ifta in Sanaa announced on Tuesday that Wednesday, February 18, 2026, is the first day of the holy month of Ramadan 1447 AH.

The announcement came after various Sharia and scientific committees nationwide on Sunday evening failed to sight the crescent moon that signals the start of the holy month.
