GENEVA, Feb. 17 (YPA) – Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi announced that the round of indirect negotiations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, held, on Tuesday, in Geneva, made significant progress towards formulating common goals and discussing related technical issues.
Al Busaidi explained, in a post published on the “X” platform, that the atmosphere of the talks was constructive, noting that all parties demonstrated clear seriousness in formulating a set of guiding principles that pave the way for reaching a final agreement.
He added that the participation of the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, was highly appreciated for its role in supporting the path of understandings.
The minister indicated that the road still requires more work, confirming that the two delegations left the meeting after agreeing on specific steps in preparation for the next round of talks.
The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Switzerland hosted the indirect negotiations between the Islamic Republic and the United States.
