UAE-backed STC mobilizes its supporters in Dhalea

DHALEA, Feb. 16 (YPA) – The city of Al-Dhalea, the hometown of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s president, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, witnessed a massive rally of its supporters on Monday, marking the largest demonstration called for by the now-dissolved council.

Photos showed the rally square in the city, where supporters of the STC arrived from several southern cities and districts. The demonstration was dubbed “Challenge and Steadfastness.”

The STC called for the rally as part of a show of popular support, a campaign that began in the eastern governorates of Mahra and Hadramout and has since expanded to include the southern governorates of Abyan, Lahj, Aden, and Shabwa.

The council is expected to announce further escalatory measures against Saudi Arabia, which is pushing for its dismantling and the disbanding of its forces.
