Gold prices continue to rise to record highs in Yemen

SANAA / Aden, Feb. 04 (YPA) – Gold prices in Yemen markets continued, on Wednesday, to rise with unprecedented prices, in the goldsmiths and jewelry markets in Aden and Sana’a.

In Sana’a, the selling price of the gold pound reached 618,000 riyals, and the 21-karat gram reached 78,000 riyals, significant increase within 24 hours, amounting to 21,000 riyals per pound and 3,000 riyals per gram.

This rise comes after gold prices in Sana’a reached a record low at the beginning of February, by approximately 80,000 riyals per pound and 10,000 riyals per gram.

In Aden markets, the selling price of the gold pound exceeded 1,857,000 riyals, and the 21-karat gram reached 238,000 riyals, a significant increase within 24 hours, amounting to 21,000 riyals per pound and 3,000 riyals per gram.

Gold prices in Aden had fallen at the beginning of February by more than 230,000 riyals per pound and 25,000 riyals per gram.

Average gold prices in Aden:

– Gold pound Buy: 1,824,500 riyals, Sell: 1,857,300 riyals.

– 21 karat gram Buy: 227,400 riyals, Sale: 238,900 riyals.

Average gold prices in Sanaa:

– Gold pound Buy: 605,000 riyals, Sale: 618,000 riyals.

– 21 karat gram Buy: 75,000 riyals, Sale: 78,000 riyals.
