TEHRAN, Feb. 04 (YPA) -Iran’s Chief Police Commander, Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Radan, stated Tuesday that the enemies have launched a “hybrid war” and phased strategic plots to destabilize the country .
Speaking at a ceremony honoring the commander of the Border Guard, Radan accused the United States and Israel of entering the region with a strategy “from war to chaos, and from chaos to war,” but stressed that they had been defeated. He warned that any miscalculation by these enemies would provoke a “painful and regrettable” response.
Radan also highlighted the loyalty of Iranian forces, saying that defenders of the nation are ready to sacrifice their lives, which has led to a “humiliating defeat” for adversaries during recent unrest.
He added that efforts to counter domestic agents collaborating with foreign enemies would continue without pause.
He stressed the necessity of strengthening interaction with neighboring countries, deepening partnerships with border area residents, and expanding cooperation between military and civilian institutions. This includes the Ministries of Interior, Foreign Affairs, and the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament).
Speaking at the same event, Ahmad Ali Goudarzi, Iran’s Border Guard Commander pointed to the activities of what he described as anti-revolutionary groups, asserting they receive intelligence and logistical support from foreign bodies.
He reported that these groups carried out between 550 and 600 attacks against border forces in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchistan alone, yet failed to seize control of any border post, even temporarily.
