In Video: A final message from Seif al-Islam Gaddafi before his assassination

TRIPOLI, Feb. 04 (YPA) –  The final message posted by Seif al-Islam Gaddafi published shortly before his death were not merely a passing question— they seemed like a ‘death warrant’ targeting both his political and physical existence.

Just hours before his assassination, Gaddafi’s son delivered a sharp, direct criticism of international powers, asking: ‘Did Libyans die in 2011 so that Libya would fall under the guardianship of the United States, Turkey, France, and Britain?’

A “Professional” Operation Amid International Silence

This message, which denounced “American guardianship” and its allies, was followed by a precise military strike in the city of Zintan. A mysterious four-person team reportedly breached security fortifications and disabled surveillance cameras with exceptional skill, raising urgent questions about the technical and intelligence capabilities of the assailants.

Uncertainty Over Who Benefits

While Seif al-Islam’s political advisor officially confirmed his death, observers say the timing and covert execution of the operation—just hours after he directly challenges the US and its allies’ projects in Libya—raises serious questions about who truly benefited from his removal at such a critical moment.

No group has claimed responsibility for the assassination, amid conspicuous silence from the international powers targeted in Gaddafi’s final statements.

This has fueled speculation that his killing was a politically motivated elimination aimed at silencing voices opposing external tutelage over Libya’s political scene
