HODEIDA, Feb. 03 (YPA) – A four-year-old child was injured on Tuesday when a remnant of war exploded in Yemen’s western province of Hodeida.
A local source said the explosive device, left behind by Saudi-led coalition forces, detonated south of Al-Kua‘i village in Al-Durayhmai district, wounding the child, Bashar Mohammed Ayash Maarouf, in his right hand.
The source warned that the incident highlights the persistent danger posed by unexploded ordnance scattered across residential and agricultural areas, continuing to threaten civilian lives long after the fighting subsides.
