Berlin: Mass protest denounces arms sales to “Israel,” demands end to Gaza war

BERLIN, Feb. 02 (YPA) – A massive protest took place in Berlin’s Kreuzberg district on Sunday as demonstrators gathered at Oranienplatz to protest Germany’s continued military support for the Israeli occupation and the ongoing attacks on the Gaza Strip.

Marching toward the Südstern metro station, protesters waved Palestinian flags and carried banners reading “Free Palestine,” “Stop the Genocide,” and “Netanyahu to Court.” Participants chanted slogans condemning Zionism and highlighting the suffering of Gaza’s children amid the war and harsh winter conditions.

German police enforced strict security measures throughout the rally and reportedly arrested at least two protesters. The demonstration underscores growing public pressure on the German government to halt arms exports and hold the occupation accountable.
