SANAA, Jan. 30 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology forecast on Friday that mountainous highlands and inland plateaus would experience cold weather in several Yemeni provinces.
In its weather bulletin, the center explained that a cold wave may hit the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, and Bayda, in addition to the plateaus of Shabwa, Hadramout, and Mahra.
It indicated that the weather would be relatively cold in the highlands of the of Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Taiz, Dhalea, Lahj, and Abyan.
The center also suggested that parts of desert areas and the southern and western coasts may be affected by relatively dusty conditions.
It urged citizens in mountainous highlands and inland plateaus—especially the elderly, children, the patients, and those working at night and during the early morning hours—to take caution against the cold weather and dust wave.
