Tehran warns Washington, Tel Aviv: “Our response will be painful and will encompass the entire region”
TEHRAN, Jan. 30 (YPA) – The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran issued a stern warning on Thursday to the United States and the “Zionist entity” against committing any “folly” or miscalculation regarding Iranian sovereignty.
Tehran emphasized that its response would not only be decisive and immediate but would also extend to encompass all U.S. bases in the region and the Zionist depth.
The spokesperson for the Iranian Army, Mohammad Karaminia, confirmed that the armed forces have completed their readiness to deliver a “swift and painful response” to any aggression. He stressed that the era of “lightning military operations” has passed.
“If the enemy takes any reckless step, we will respond directly and instantaneously,” the military spokesperson stated. “Directives have already been issued to all operational units in this regard.”
Addressing threats from the U.S. administration, the spokesperson noted that Washington is delusional if it believes it can carry out an attack and settle for a “tweet” announcing the end of the operation.
“Anyone who thinks they can conduct a two-hour operation and then tweet that the matter is concluded must reconsider their calculations,” he added. “Military reality confirms that any war will immediately expand to include the entire geography of the region, and no country that opens its territory or bases for aggression will be spared.”
Regarding the U.S. naval buildup, Karaminia revealed what he described as “serious vulnerabilities” in U.S. aircraft carriers, asserting they have become “easy and highly fragile targets” for Iran’s missile arsenal, particularly Tehran’s hypersonic missiles.
Karaminia concluded by affirming that Iran has drawn lessons from previous confrontations and that any delay in responding or granting the enemy an opportunity is “entirely unjustified.” He explained that Iranian military plans include precise scenarios for every move opponents might take, ensuring that any aggression is transformed into a “strategic disaster” for the aggressors.
