Senior UAE official says Emirati-Israeli ties aim to reshape entire region

QUDS, Jan. 27 (YPA) – A senior Emirati official outlined on Tuesday the broader regional implications of UAE-Israel relations, describing them as part of an effort to “reshape the entire region.”

During a speech at the Israeli Knesset, Ali Al-Nuaimi, head of the World Council of Muslim Sages based in Abu Dhabi, emphasized that the UAE-Israeli relationship should be understood in a comprehensive framework.

He noted that the Abraham Accords should go beyond political and security aspects, representing a key factor in regional transformation.

Al-Nuaimi added that the UAE seeks to build cooperation with Israel across all sectors and with various parties.

He stressing that the goal extends beyond bilateral relations to changing the region as a whole.

Reacting to the remarks, Ram Ben Barak, former deputy head of Mossad and current Knesset member, described Al-Nuaimi’s statements as “bold and noteworthy,” expressing full agreement and readiness to advance according to this vision.
