Putin offers $1 billion to Gaza from frozen Russian assets in America

MOSCOW, Jan. 22 (YPA) – The Russian President Vladimir Putin announced his country’s readiness to allocate $1 billion of frozen Russian assets in the United States to support the planned “Peace Council” for Gaza, considering the move a contribution to reach a lasting political solution in the Middle East.

 

“Part of the Russian assets frozen in the United States due to the war in Ukraine can be directed to support Gaza, within the framework of the ‘Peace Council’ that is being planned,” he added.
