Child killed by coalition’s sniper fire in Dhalea

DHALEA, Jan. 20 (YPA) – A child was killed on Tuesday after being shot by sniper fire from Saudi-led coalition forces in Dhalea province, in a new crime against civilians.

Dhalea security authorities said coalition forces opened fire with a sniper rifle on a 13-year-old boy in the Qa‘tabah District, killing him instantly. The child was identified as Zakariya Ahmed Mohammed Jaraiz.

The authorities stated that targeting children and civilians constitutes a grave violation of the truce and a clear breach of international laws and conventions.

They added that the incident is part of systematic crimes committed by the coalition forces against civilians.
