Israeli occupation forces carry out raids, arrests in West Bank

WEST BANK, Jan. 18 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces carried out a wide-scale campaign of arrests and raids across several areas of the occupied West Bank early Sunday, targeting numerous Palestinian civilians.

In Ramallah, the occupation forces arrested a young man from the Al-Tirah neighborhood. In the nearby city of Al-Bireh, they raided a residential building in the Um-Alsharayet neighborhood.

They also stormed the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, and searched a home.

According to Palestinian sources, the occupation forces  fired stun and tear gas grenades in the village, causing panic among civilians, particularly women and children.

In addition, Israeli forces raided the town of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah, and fired flares over the town’s plains.

In Qalqilya, the forces stormed the Al-Qar‘an neighborhood and searched several homes, but no arrests were reported.
