Al-Mashat offers condolences on death of Yemen’s former Vice President
SANAA, Jan. 18 (YPA) – The President of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, Mahdi Al-Mashat, sent on Saturday a cable of condolences following the death of former Yemeni Vice President Ali Salem al-Beidh, who passed away at the age of 90.
In the cable, President Al-Mashat lauded the late leader’s national contributions, highlighting his prominent struggle against British colonialism in south the country until national independence was achieved. He also praised al-Beidh’s pivotal role in the reunification of Yemen in 1990.
Al-Mashat expressed his deepest sympathies to the family of the deceased, praying for Allah to grant them patience and to bestow His vast mercy upon the departed.
