Israeli occupation forces raid West Bank, east Jerusalem, detain Palestinians

WEST BANK, Jan. 10 (YPA) – Israeli forces carried out a series of raids across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem in the early hours of Saturday, searching Palestinian homes and detaining a number of residents

According to local sources, Israeli occupation forces stormed the New Askar refugee camp east of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank at dawn.

They also entered the eastern area of Nablus, raiding and searching several homes in the camp amid a heavy military presence in its narrow alleys, though no arrests were reported there.

Elsewhere, the occupation forces arrested a young Palestinian man in the city of Jenin after raiding a residential building in the Wadi Zeidin area in the eastern part of the city

Local sources said that the occupation forces besieged the neighborhood, deployed military vehicles, and searched a building belonging to the Al-Sanouri family before detaining the man.

They also carried out foot patrol raids in New Askar refugee camp and the nearby town of Deir Hatab, east of Nablus, where they searched a home and arrested a resident. Additional raids were reported in the town of Deir Istiya, northwest of Salfit.

In occupied East Jerusalem, the occupation forces briefly detained several young men and arrested a groom from a wedding hall in the town of Al-Eizariya, east of the city.
