Hamas: Netanyahu blocks ceasefire in Gaza

GAZA, 09 (YPA) – Member of the Hamas political bureau, Basem Naim, said that the plan to stop the aggression on Gaza, put forward by US President Donald Trump and adopted by the Security Council in its Resolution No. 2803, has turned into a binding international framework.

However, the head of the Israeli occupation government, Benjamin Netanyahu, is deliberately obstructing its implementation through escalation and shirking his obligations, in an attempt to return to war and save his political situation.

Naim stressed that the recent escalation, which resulted in the martyrdom of 13 Palestinians within hours, was being carried out under American cover, despite the resistance’s full commitment to the terms of the agreement.

He stressed Hamas’ readiness to deal positively with the second phase, including the arrangements for managing Gaza, warning that the continuation of the escalation and the catastrophic humanitarian situation threaten to expand the circle of confrontation and instability in the region.
