Meteorology wans of cold conditions, rough seas in Yemen

SANAA, Jan. 09 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning, on Friday, renewed its warning of sudden weather and unstable sea conditions expected over the coming hours.

In its weather bulletin, the center cautioned fishermen and sea-goers along the southern stretches of the western coast and near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait of rough seas with high waves.

The center also warned residents in mountainous areas, deserts and inland plateaus of cold to very cold conditions, particularly during nighttime and early morning hours, urging elderly people, children, patients and outdoor workers to take precautions and wear warm clothing.

Farmers were advised to take appropriate measures to protect crops and agricultural produce, while travelers heading to colder regions were urged to take necessary precautions to prevent cold-related health risks.
