SANAA, Jan. 03 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning, on Saturday, issued new warnings to fishermen, ship captains, and seafarers about rough seas and high waves south of the western coast and Bab al-Mandab Strait.
In its weather bulletin, the center alerted citizens, especially the elderly, children, and the sick in the mountainous highlands, interior plateaus, and deserts, to the cold and very cold weather.
It warned farmers of the effects of the extreme cold on crops and urged them to take the necessary measures to protect them from frost.
It also warned livestock herders, beekeepers, and poultry farmers of the drop in temperatures, which may affect their animals, and advised them to shelter them in warm places during the night and morning hours.
In addition, the center warned travelers to very cold areas of the risk of cold shocks.
