STC military spokesperson denies conflict reports in Hadramout, hints at secession

ADEN, Jan. 02 (YPA) – The military spokesperson for the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), Mohammed al-Naqib, has denied the accuracy of media reports regarding recent field developments in Hadramout province.

In a video statement, Al-Naqib dismissed coverage by Al Jazeera, Al Arabiya, and Al Hadath channels concerning the ongoing conflict between Saudi and UAE-backed factions in eastern and southern Yemen.

The spokesperson’s remarks contrasted with reported field escalations; however, his statement included clear hints toward “secession,” despite the heightening tensions in the region.
