Security forces arrest suspect accused of killing three family members in Sana’a

SANAA, Jan. 01 (YPA) – Security forces in Sana’a province, in coordination with security authorities in the capital, have arrested a suspect accused of killing three members of his family and injuring two others in the Bayt Baws area of New Sana’a District.

According to provincial security officials, the suspect — identified as Majed Ali Naji Al-DhAbyani, 32 — allegedly shot and killed three people of his family.

The victims were identified as Farjah Saleh Qasim Al-Dhubyani, 60, Naif Ali Naji Al-Dhabyani, 50, and Huda Ali Naji Al-Dhabyani, 45

He also reportedly injured Asmaa Ali Naji Al-Dhabyani and Taliyah Abdulkhaleq Ali Al-Kulaibi, before fleeing the scene.

Authorities said that once the report was received, police immediately launched an investigation.

The suspect was apprehended in a short time with the cooperation of the Security Department in the Al-Sab’een district of the capital.

Security officials said the suspect will be referred to the judiciary once the investigation is completed and all legal procedures are finalized.
