“Coastal Tribes Alliance” warns Tariq Saleh’s factions, supports canceling defense agreement with UAE
MOCHA, Dec. 31 (YPA) – The newly formed “Coastal Tribes Alliance,” which represents several districts across Taiz and Hodeida provinces, has issued a stern warning to military formations on the western coast, specifically the factions led by Tariq Saleh, against any military movements that conflict with Saudi directives or infringe upon national sovereignty.
In a prominent political statement, the alliance held the UAE-funded Tariq Saleh’s militias fully responsible for any attempts to impose a “de facto” reality outside the authority of the Ministries of Defense and Interior, while categorically rejecting any military “adventures” that threaten civil peace or deviate from the decisions of Presidential Leadership Council’s President, Rashad Al-Alimi.
Furthermore, the alliance declared its absolute support for Al-Alimi’s decisions regarding the cancellation of the joint defense agreement with the UAE, demanding the immediate withdrawal of all foreign forces from Yemeni territories.
The statement concluded by emphasizing that the tribes of the western coast will not allow the region to become a platform for agendas that contradict Yemen’s supreme interests or undermine the national fabric.
