UAE defies Riyadh, boosts military presence near Saudi-Omani borders
HADRAMOUT, Dec. 30 (YPA) – In a dangerous escalation that reflects the widening discord within the Saudi-led coalition camp in eastern and southern Yemen, the UAE has continued to defy the Saudi decision to withdraw its forces by pushing large military reinforcements to the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Hadramout and Mahra, near the borders with Saudi Arabia and Oman.
Political and media activist Adel Al-Hasani revealed that Emirati armored vehicles that Saudi bombing did not in the port of Mukalla were redistributed to the STC, considering that the bombing carried contradictory political messages after targeting civil cars and avoiding military vehicles.

Al-Hasani stressed that Abu Dhabi was translating its rejection of the Saudi decision on the ground to land new armored vehicles from ships and hand them over to the STC factions and deploy them in sensitive locations.
He pointed to remarkable military movements, including the transfer of 27 buses carrying armed elements from Lahj towards Hadramout and al-Mahra.
Al-Hasani explained that the developments on the ground were no longer a fleeting disagreement between allies, but an open conflict of wills that redraws the equations of confrontation in eastern Yemen, and threatens a large-scale escalation.
In a new field development, Al-Hasani cited eyewitness accounts from Lahj province reporting that 27 buses carrying STC elements moved in recent hours toward Hadramout and Mahra, in a clear indication of military preparations exceeding mere political maneuvers.
