According to local media, an explosion occurred inside a mosque in the city of Maiduguri, while performing Maghrib prayers.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, while mosques and crowded places in Maiduguri have previously been subjected to similar attacks using suicide bombers and explosive devices.
Unconfirmed videos circulating on social media showed a state of confusion after the explosion, with people gathering in a nearby market, as dust billowed in the place.
