OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Dec. 25 (PA) – Hebrew media reported Wednesday evening that Washington has informed Israel and mediators that the second phase of U.S. President Donald Trump’s Gaza ceasefire plan is set to begin in early January.
Channel 13 cited a “senior” Israeli official, whose name was not disclosed, saying that US special envoy Steve Witkoff informed “Israel” and the mediators that the second phase of the Gaza agreement would begin in early January.
According to the channel, “Israel” fears that Trump may push to move to the second phase without disarming Gaza.
“Israel” and Hamas reached a two-phase ceasefire agreement in Gaza on October 9, mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, and under the auspices of President Donald Trump, based on a 20-point plan proposed by Trump to end the war.
