GAZA, Dec. 23 (YPA)- The World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed on Monday that while the ceasefire has created space for recovery in the Gaza Strip, it has not undone the extensive damage caused by two years of conflict.
In a post on X, the WHO said that only 50 percent of Gaza’s health facilities are partially operational, noting that many have been damaged during the war.

Since October 7, 2023, the occupation forces with US support have waged a war that has claimed the lives of more than 70,937 people, most of them children and women, in addition to the injury of 171,192 others, according to non-final figures.
Thousands of victims remain trapped under the rubble or lying in the streets, beyond the reach of ambulance and rescue crews.
A ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip came into force on October 10, following two consecutive years of what Palestinians describe as a genocidal war. However, Israeli occupation forces continue to carry out daily violations of the agreement and still restrict the entry of most humanitarian aid into the enclave.
