Israeli occupation forces stage new incursion into Quneitra countryside

QUNEITRA, Dec. 22 (YPA) – An Israeli force consisting of seven military vehicles advanced into Al-Mushairfa village in Al-Quneitra countryside before withdrawing back to its positions, without any reported clashes or casualties, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported.

According to SOHR, another Israeli force advanced from its base in Al-Adnaniyah village, where it set up a temporary military checkpoint on the road linking Al-Samdaneyah and Al-Ajraf in Al-Quneitra countryside

Earlier on Sunday, Different areas in Al-Quneitra countryside experienced escalating military movements by Israeli forces this morning, amid growing public tension and concern.

According to reports, an Israeli military patrol of five vehicles headed to the junction of Sayda village in the southern countryside of Al-Quneitra, before it withdrew a short time later.

Similarly, another patrol of two military vehicles set off from Al-Adnaniyah post in the northern countryside of Al-Quneitra and established a makeshift checkpoint near the junction of Um Al-Izam village, which links Ruwayhinah and Al-Musharifah villages.

Meanwhile, an Israeli patrol advanced into the western part of Al-Rufayd town and fired bullets in the air, along with the advancement of another patrol of five military vehicles into Sayda Al-Hanout village in the same area.

This comes as a part of escalating military movements by Israeli forces in south Syria region.
