SANAA, Dec. 22 (YPA) – Senior members in Ansarallah movement in Sanaa have mocked recent threats from head of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), Aidarus al-Zubaidi, and Tareq Saleh, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, regarding “entering Sanaa,” describing such statements as exhausted rhetoric aimed at securing foreign support.
Mohammad Al-Fareh, a member of Ansarallah’s Political Bureau, characterized the statements made by Aidarus al-Zubaidi and Tareq Saleh about advancing on Sanaa as a “worn-out record” used for political profiteering and to court the coalition.
In a post on “X,” Al-Fareh suggested that al-Zubaidi is attempting to escape regional pressures through an “obsession with normalization” and alignment with the Emirati-Zionist project. He emphasized that Sanaa has been beyond their reach for a decade.
Meanwhile, senior official Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti launched a sharp attack on the pro-UAE STC describing it as a “security company” protecting the interests of foreign powers.
Al-Bukhaiti questioned the STC’s inability to establish a state in the areas under its control, arguing that its dependence on foreign decision-making—and its offers to secure international interests against Sanaa’s military operations supporting Gaza—strips it of any national legitimacy.
Sanaa leadership concluded that the only solution to the current “absurdity” is for the Yemeni people to unite behind a “liberation battle,” viewing national unity as a vital necessity to counter foreign ambitions in the southern and eastern governorates.
