Investigative report reveals UAE-led campaign targeting pro-Palestinian voices in France

FOLLOW-UP, Dec. 20 (YPA) – An investigative report by the “Dark Box” news platform has exposed an organized campaign led by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to target political and media figures supporting the Palestinian cause in France, most notably the leftist party ‘France Unbowed’ (La France Insoumise).

Following public statements by Jean-Luc Mélenchon that his party has become a “UAE target,” France Unbowed filed an official complaint with the French Public Prosecutor. This follows incidents such as the fabrication of financial crime allegations against MP Carlos Martens Bilongo after his criticism of the UAE’s role during COP28.

The investigation highlights the use of “camouflaged” digital platforms, such as the magazine Écran de Veille and the organization Global Watch Analysis. These entities are accused of inciting fear over the “Islamization of France,” utilizing far-right rhetoric under the guise of “neutral research.”

Documents reveal a pivotal role played by the Swiss private intelligence firm Alp Services. The firm reportedly compiled dossiers on thousands of individuals and hundreds of organizations across Europe, forcibly linking them to the Muslim Brotherhood to undermine their political legitimacy.

Accumulated complaints have prompted the French Ministry of the Interior to launch an official inquiry into UAE interference, particularly regarding attempts to influence parliamentary committees.

Conclusion:

The investigation frames these activities as part of a broader UAE strategy characterized by a “triple alliance”: an alignment with “Israel” that includes pursuing pro-Palestinian voices in Europe, fueling regional conflicts (Libya, Sudan, Yemen), and partnering with European far-right movements to promote anti-Islamic narratives
