UN: Displaced people in Gaza forced to live in partially destroyed homes

GAZA, Dec. 19 (YPA) – A United Nations report said on Friday that amid extremely overcrowded shelters in western Gaza camps, displaced people are being forced to live in the ruins of partially destroyed homes.

As weather conditions worsen and heavy rainfall continues, the rate of collapses of structurally damaged buildings has increased, further deepening the safe-shelter crisis amid a lack of alternatives and resources.

The report, published on “X,” noted that the United Nations had documented conditions on the ground and collected testimonies from those affected by the collapses.
