RIYADH, Dec. 13 (YPA) – A Saudi media activist confirmed that Riyadh has made understandings with Abu Dhabi regarding the presence of the Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions in Hadramout and Mahra in eastern Yemen.
Saad bin Mohammed al-Omari, the Saudi activist, explained in a post on X that the dialogues and understandings that were had been made with Abu Dhabi, which he described as the direct sponsor and financier of the STC, because it is the decision maker.
He clarified that the arrival of the Saudi and Emirati military delegation to the Maashiq Presidential Palace in Aden, on Friday evening, to issue instructions to the leaders of the STC’s factions to leave Hadramout and Mahra.
Al-Omari added that the arrival of the joint military delegation aimed to contain the STC’s rebellion on what he called “Yemeni legitimacy”, in order to avoid the anger of Saudi Arabia.
