GAZA, Dec. 08 (YPA) – Dozens of armed members of gangs backed by “Israel” have surrendered to Hamas security forces across the Gaza Strip in recent days, the Israeli Channel Kan reported.
Abu Shabab was shot dead in Rafah on Wednesday by unidentified gunmen. His death was seen as the most significant setback to “Israel”-linked militia networks since the war began in October 2023.
Yasser Abu Shabab had formed a special force in the city of Rafah, which is under the complete control of the Israeli forces, allegedly to secure the entry of humanitarian aid into some areas of the Gaza Strip, before “Israel” completely closed the crossings and prevented the flow of aid into the Strip.
As militia leader, he had overseen operations involving aid theft, kidnappings, attacks on resistance fighters and coordination with the “Israeli” military.
