Deputy FM in Sanaa discusses with UN envoy resuming negotiations

SANAA, Dec. 04 (YPA) – The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in the Sanaa government, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, met on Wednesday via video conference with the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Yemen, Hans Grundberg.

The meeting discussed the process of resuming the political settlement and implementing the roadmap, including its humanitarian entitlements.

Abu Ras expressed Sanaa’s appreciation for the UN envoy’s efforts to achieve peace, stressing that “Sanaa’s hand is extended for peace and the time has come” to resume the political process.

For his part, Grundberg briefed the deputy foreign minister on the results of his recent meetings with various parties and the permanent members of the Security Council, indicating the keenness of the United Nations and the international community to achieve peace and end the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people.
