Bin Makhashin Tribe declares full support for first military region in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Dec. 03 (YPA) – In a significant political statement, Bin Makhashin Al-Humum tribe has issued a clear statement declaring its full support for the First Military Region forces, which are affiliated with the Islah party in Hadramout province.

The tribe affirmed its backing for any steps aimed at strengthening security and stability in Wadi Hadramout and preventing the area from sliding into military escalation.

In its statement, the tribe said its decision to stand with the army stems from its national and social responsibility to protect the region from rising tensions.

It added that its position comes in response to escalation by forces from the Dhalea, Yafaa, and Radfan tribes toward the region, warning that such developments could have serious repercussions for local stability.

The tribe stressed that “Hadramout is not a battleground for tribal or regional conflicts,” calling on all parties to prioritize reason, safeguard civilians, and reject any attempts to drag the region into confrontations that could threaten social cohesion and civil peace.

The statement marks one of the most significant tribal stances to surface in recent days, as residents watch developments in Wadi Hadramout with concern over the possibility that the current military escalation could ignite a new point of conflict in the governorate.
