Two people killed in US strike on Marib

MARIB, Nov. 29 (YPA) – At least two suspected al-Qaeda operatives were killed in an airstrike in Marib province, local sources said.

According to the sources, a US drone carried out a strike on Saturday targeting two people riding a motorcycle in the Al-Husoon area of Al-Wadi district, which is controlled by the Saudi-led coalition forces.

In recent weeks, US drones have conducted intensified airstrikes on areas controlled by the coalition in Marib, northeastern Yemen.

According to observers, the coalition forces have created safe environments for terrorist groups in Marib, reportedly to use those groups in support of the coalition’s objectives in Yemen.
