On Independence Day, President Al-Mashat vows to liberate all Yemeni territory

SANAA, Nov. 29 (YPA) -President of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, reaffirmed his commitment to the martyrs of the November 30 Revolution and pledged to liberate Yemen’s land, islands, and waters while protecting its airspace from foreign occupiers.

This came during his speech this evening marking the 58th anniversary of Yemen’s Independence Day on November 30th, which also commemorates the 1967 departure of the last British occupier from Aden after years of armed struggle and resistance.

President Al-Mashat congratulated the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi and all Yemenis on the Independence Day.

“November 30th is a day made by the resolute men of the October 14 Revolution and will remain a lasting symbol of pride and dignity,” the President said.

He emphasized that independence from British occupation is a value “renewed in the hearts of our people, reminding us that it is not granted but seized.”

Recalling Yemen’s history, Al-Mashat said the people who defeated the British Empire at its peak “are today capable of preventing all attempts by aggressors to return.”

He warned that the occupied areas remain under the influence of “foreign hands and local collaborators” who have established rival militias, leaving the regions in chaos, with collapsed services, plundered resources, and no security.

Al-Mashat denounced traitors and mercenaries, saying they cannot be trusted to safeguard the Yemeni people or their historical rights.

He added that colonizers have returned with “more dangerous and cunning tools,” using spies and collaborators to pursue fragmentation and division.

He reaffirmed Yemen’s resilience: “Yemen, with its men and women, its free citizens and heroes, will remain an impenetrable barrier against every aggressor, protecting the sacrifices of the martyrs and preserving the legacy of October 14 and November 30.”

The president renewed the pledge to honor the martyrs of the Liberation and Independence Revolution, liberate every inch of Yemeni land and islands from occupiers, and work toward ending the people’s suffering while achieving stability and prosperity.
