Al-Bukhaiti reveals Ansarallah’s stance on what is happening in Hadramout

SANAA, Nov. 29 (YPA) – Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, a member of Ansarallah’s Political Bureau, confirmed that the ongoing conflict in Hadramout governorate, eastern Yemen, is much more than mere clashes, describing it as a “futile conflict” reflecting “Saudi-Emirati” tension over influence and wealth, which usually concludes with a bilateral agreement to “share the spoils” at the Yemenis’ expense.

In a post on his Telegram account, Al-Bukhaiti noted that Ansarallah “sympathizes with the Hadrami community” in confronting what he called “pro-UAE militias,” but this sympathy does not mean sliding into an unrealistic battle.

He stressed that intervention would only happen if it was “within the framework of restoring Yemen’s sovereignty,” asserting, “We will not delay for a single moment then.”

Al-Bukhaiti also warned that the scene might be a “Saudi-Emirati play” aimed at subjugating the Hadrami community and pushing it to offer concessions, including Saudi Arabia obtaining a maritime outlet on the Indian Ocean.

He urged residents of southern regions not to be dragged into “wars of attrition.”

Al-Bukhaiti concluded his message by stating that the fundamental issue is “our unity to restore the sovereignty and independence of Yemen from Saada to Mahra.”
