HADRAMOUT, Nov. 26 (YPA) – Head of the Saudi-backed Hadramout Tribal Alliance, Amr bin habrish Al-Elayi, reviewed on Wednesday the full combat readiness of the factions of the “first brigade protecting Hadramout”, in a clear message that the people of the province would not allow anyone to tamper their security and stability.
In a post on Facebook, bin habrish, accompanied by the so-called “staff of the faction war”, Salem Omar bin Huseynun, visited the headquarters of the “special tasks Battalion” and military points, urging them to confront the threats the pro-UAE leadership launched.
He stressed the need for vigilance and steadfastness in defending the territory of Hadramout and its honor, according to the Hadramout Tribal Alliance’s website on his account in Facebook platform.
On the other hand, the leadership of the Islah Party-run first military region of the reform, in Hadramout Valley, refused to allow any armed elements coming from outside Hadramout to tamper with its security and target tribes.
In news statements, the leadership announced her absolute rejection of the threats made by the commander of the UAE-funded “security support” elements, Abu Ali al-Hadrami, against the head of the Tribal Alliance.
It described Abu Ali’s statements as ” lies and fabrications”, refuting his accusations of the head of the Alliance and the leaders of the “protection of Hadramout” of cutting and drug smuggling, stressing that they are desperate accusations aimed at distorting the image of the sons of Hadramout, and justification for the upcoming aggression.
This comes after bin habrish on Monday issued an invitation to all sheikhs and dignitaries of the Hadramout tribes to the Thursday’s emergency meeting, in Al-Aleeb area of Al-Hadhaba, to develop a unified plan to crush the Emirati threats that are actively seeking to blow up the situation in the province and turn it into an arena of conflict.
At the same time, sources familiar with the mater said that the leadership of the UAE forces in Mukalla brought significant military reinforcements during the past hours from Aden, Dhalea and Lahj to Hadramout, in preparation for possible confrontations with the Tribal Alliance, in a dangerous escalation that exposes the real orientations of the UAE and its intention to destabilize the security and stability of the province.
The Emirati-Saudi conflict in the natural resources-rich Hadramout, has escalated since mid-2022, after Riyadh prevented the “Arrows of the East” operation of the UAE-backed factions from controlling the reform camps in the province.
