SANAA, Nov. 26 (YPA) – The Specialized Criminal Court in the capital secretariat of Sanaa on Wednesday sentenced Walid Hassan Mohammed Al-Razaqi to death, after convicting him of participating in an armed gang affiliated with the terrorist organization “Al-Qaeda.”
The Sanaa-based official “Saba” news agency reported that the conviction stemmed from Al-Razaqi’s involvement in the killing of several security personnel and his role in planning and preparing attacks against the Armed Forces and Security between 2011 and 2014.
The charges leveled against the convict included committing armed attacks in Zinjbar, Abyan, Jawf, and Saada, in addition to participating in assaults targeting the Radio building and Political Security headquarters in Aden, which resulted in the death of 14 soldiers and the destruction of government facilities.
Al-Razaqi was also convicted of involvement in storming the Central Prison in Sanaa and facilitating the escape of 29 prisoners who were members of the organization, as well as attacking a Special Guard checkpoint and manufacturing explosive devices.
The court, presided over by Judge Mohammed Al-Sufyani, ruled to punish Al-Razaqi with death by shooting him until death.
