Meteorology renews its warnings of cold wave on mountainous highlands

SANAA, Nov. 15 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology renewed its warnings on Saturday to residents of the mountainous highlands about the extremely cold weather.

In its weather bulletin, the center affirmed that a cold wave would targert the provinces of Sanaa, Dhamar, Amran, Bayda, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, Marib, and Saada, as well as the highlands of Ibb, Jawf and Dhalea.

the center advised citizens, especially the elderly, children, the sick, and those working during the night and early morning hours, to take necessary precautions against the severe cold.

It also advised farmers to take appropriate measures to protect their crops and agricultural projects from damage.

Furthermore, the center also warned seafarers, fishermen, and ship captains of rough seas and high waves along the western coast, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the western Gulf of Aden.

Partly cloudy weather is expected over the Socotra Archipelago with scattered rain showers.
